AVCA honorable mention for Nicki Scripko

Liberty right-side hitter Nicki Scripko was one of nine freshmen in the nation to receive all-region recognition, the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced today. Scripko was an honorable mention All-East Region selection.

Simply amazing....that's all I can REALLY say. She is going to help us get a nice spot in the NCAA tourney in a couple of years hopefully!

Hey Vadim, congrats to you and Kim on Nicki's AVCA award... that's huge!!! AND SHE'S JUST A FRESHMAN!!!
She really had a great year, and the post-season recognition reflects it... she now has a reputation as "One of the Best in the Country."
Her awards, and any others that LU players earn, all help to establish Liberty as a strong volleyball school.

I just wanted to add a little perspective to this honor....
There have only been two people recognized by AVCA....Iffy and Bream...those would be the only 2 jerseys retired in the history of the program....and they were honored their SR year...Nik's on an incredible pace...and I can only help but wonder what honors she would have gotten this year and records broken if she came into the year at 100%
