Someone had entered the Gametracker wrong when LU tied it at 29.

Too bad the Thanksgiving holiday came this weekend. Less than 300 people were in attendance...Football is well on its way as well. Josh McDougal and the Men's hoops teams need to make it a clean sweep for us today!

McDougal goes on Monday afternoon...man I missed both the Winthrop victory AND this championship win, I hope the ladies relish this one

That last game was edge-of-your-seat! I was watching it on LBN and that was just an awesome game and an awesome win!

Is this the first for LU volleyball or have we ever won the Big South Tourney before?

I Know Lu has won in 1997, 1999, 2001

We were the last team to win the championship before Winthrop's reign. We were also 1 point away from beating Winthrop in the 2004 semifinals.

OH MY!!!!!

Liberty... Big South Champions 2007!!!

I just got off the phone with Kallie and the team is still on the floor taking pictures. Everyone is still enjoying the moment. Much to Winthrop's credit, their players are talking with Liberty players. Pohai Hu'uhiwa (the DS who made the All-Tournament team) asked to have a picture taken with Kallie... what a great person and player!

I'm so happy and proud!!! This is a big moment for the girls, the coaches, the families, and the school. Wow!!!

Kallie - Congratulations on winning the Championship, and the tournament MVP award. Your attitude and single minded focus on winning "The Big Prize" has been great. Enjoy Thanksgiving in Lynchburg, while you prep for your next match... we will miss you here in Oregon!

I watched the match online, and it was the first time I had seen Kallie play...I was very impressed. I could usually predict where WU's setter was going to play the ball on most plays, but Kallie was very unpredictable and almost always hit the exact spot she needed to.

WitnthropEagleFan - I read your posts and I think, "this guy should be a Liberty fan." I know you need to stay loyal, but now that the season is over for WU, can we count on your support as we go on?

Side Note: Thanks for the nice comment on Kallie!
