The big question...how do you rate the teams in order of looks...I'll start with the obvious

I'm not opening up that can of worms! But I will say this...it gives you a different perspective seeing some of the other girls not at LU dressed up

meh...I was at the tennis banquet in the spring, and all the girls were dressed up...and we still beat the other schools, though Coastal and Birmingham-Southern were a close second.
Congratulations Nicki, Chelaine, Jessica, Kallie & Coach

Nicki - You were "Crazy Good" this year and I'm so proud of you. I can't wait to see what you do during your career at Liberty.
Chelaine - I think you're great!!! Your 2nd Team award is fantastic! I'm so glad God directed you to Liberty.
Jessica - Nice job smarty-pants! Tell me, how great is it to be both an "A" player on the court and in class? You're a very special young lady! Well done!!!
Coach - I know you walk the humble path day-to-day, and preach it to your girls, but... "YOUR THE MAN!!!" this year. Enjoy it... it's well deserved!
Kallie - Great season five-er... NOW GO GET THE CHAMPIONSHIP!!! (Note: You must win each game by 2 points... how appropriate.) Light the Flames Kallie-girl!!!!

I know I am biased, but I believe Kallie deserved player of the year over Sitzman. Sitzman is a quality player, but she only plays front row. She is a great hitter, but her team can win without her. I don't we could have won like we did without Kallie's performance. I also believe Chelaine should have been first team all conference over Bickford. She led the league in hitting percentage and she blocked well and served superbly. What more did she need to do?

Like I said in an earlier post, I didn't think you could go wrong with picking either Sitzmann or Corbin. Since I"m the resident Winthrop volleyball fan, I'll give Sitzmann's case though. You say the team can win without her, and it is true that they did go 2-0 when she was out of the lineup (though that was against UNCA and Presby, both at home), but she wasn't at full strength when WU went to Radford (she didn't play in all of the games and only had 22 attacks in 5 games) and the Highlanders almost beat WU that day. Also, she was the only attacker on WU that got honored yesterday, so she is obviously shouldering alot of the load for the Eagles.
But as I said, it could've gone either way (and the closeness of the vote supports that)...individual awards are nice and all, but I think both LU and WU have bigger fish to fry this weekend aside from worrying about who won which award (there was someone complaining about the awards on the winthropfans board, saying that WU was underrepresented...so it goes to show you that nobody is ever happy when these awards are announced)...

I agree with you Winthrop Eagle Fan, it could have gone either way. I'm not trying to say that Shannon was undeserving. I guess I was just trying to say how I would have voted if it were available to me. I'm not unhappy, just trying to go through the thought process. I saw Shannon with her folks this morning and congratulated her on her award.
I got some insight last night on how the awards are decided. I found it interesting that Chelsey Kimes was awarded Freshman of the Week four times but didn't even make second team all conference. Her teammate, Bickford made first team all conference and had not won FOW nearly as often. I was told that the SIDs and coaches vote based off what they see during the conference portion of the season and the weekly awards are determined by the conference staff. Different people -- different results.
I saw the post on the Winthrop board, and I think it was valid. The two teams at the top distinguished themselves from the rest and, perhaps, more of the ladies who made it happen deserved more recognition.
