Here is the place for all other LU sponsored sports. Come here to post about: Men's/Women's Cross Country, Men's Golf, Men's/Women's Soccer, Men's/Women's Tennis, Men's/Women's Track & Field, Women's Lacrosse, Women's Swimming & Dive, Women's Volleyball
anybody have an idea where we will attempt to go? It appears that the BSOUTH member schools that offer wrestling compete in the Southern Conf or are Independant (VMI, Gard-Webb)
Looking around, the Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Assoc is a great league but would involve a great deal of traveling (assuming they would take us)
The smaller Eastern Wrestling League might be a better option- all PA, OH and WV teams. This is a notably smaller league and may actually welcome another school.
any thoughts?

If we can't get an associate membership in the SoCon or CAA for wrestling, perhaps we could get KK off his duff to get the Big South to sponsor wrestling and then have those indies join VMI, G-W and us in a league. Perhaps even cash-strapped Campbell would prefer competing in a more geographically-inclined league as well.
Anyone know why Campbell left our conference to begin with? Not that I or anyone misses the "Fighting Camels", but just curious...and yeah, having a Big South wrestling league would be cool, I just don't see it happening...wonder if VMI could pull some strings and get us into the SoCon?
The EIWA is alot of tough compition! Lehigh, Rutgers, Cornell and the Military Acadamys jeez why not go Big Ten and Bring in Penn State. We're not ready for them yet but need to stay connected to the Central Eastern states for really goos talent (esp. Pa.).

Back before we dropped the wrestling program we were in the Colonial conference and we were usually in the top 3 at least in that league. I would say the Colonial conference would be my first choice and the Southern would be my second. If we could get into the Colonial in wrestling maybe all the other LU sports would follow and we could say bye bye to the Big South. Not sure what the possibilities of that are though.
I do like that idea.... It's not a guarantee by a long shot that a foothold would mean a move but LU will continue to look attractive as long as JB and friends keep doing a great job and the University continues to grow...
