well the ladies beat friancis marion last night to improve 4-8. congrats on the win, but i feel like we should be beating teams like this by a bigger margin. maybe we are jsut not that good this year??

With wins being in such short supply, couldn't we seize the opportunity to be positive at least in the victory threads.

good point sly, but we are clearly struggling and to beat a school like francis marion 1-0......that is not good. in any regard...congrats on the win ladies.

Loosing to Winthrop and Chuck South was bad enough.

esp when this team truly contended last year.

anyway- take the win for what it is. A "W"

Really when I saw so many freshmen on the socer roster before the season, I had a suspicion that this could be a long year. Here's hoping for a strong finish to the year.

No doubt we have underperformed this year, but the win last night was a good one. FMU have beaten both Coastal (4-0) and High Point (2-1) this season and are traditionally very good in soccer. The recent losses have been tough to swallow as we have absolutely dominated all our opponents since UVA, but have had some, quite frankly unbelievable things happen against us. Until we find some consistency in front of the goal, the results might not reflect this teams talent, but we are working very hard to get better.

Also our freshman have been some of our top performers so far.

thanks for the insight LUsoccer. "bad luck" in soccer tends to last for awhile, and hopefuly that will end soon and the ladies can finsih off the season strong.

most of own doing to be honest - mistakes that are not common but have proved very costly.

understood- you actually have a fairly young team here.

over half are Frosh/Sophs by my count.

that will bode well for the future; making those mistakes early.
