Big South Announces Volleyball Players of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – High Point’s Ashley Mellott has been named the Big South Conference Choice Hotels Player of the Week in volleyball, while Nicki Scripko of Liberty was tabbed the New Balance Freshman of the Week, the League announced today.

I think she has been nominated every week thus far this season if Im not mistaken so its good to see her finally get recognized.

We are happy that Nicki's hard work has paid off and she is getting some well-deserved recognition in the conference. She is finally starting to play like she used to. Patience is key.

There's no doubt patience is the key...I'm actually kind of happy that she didnt start the season at 100% simply b/c she's had to work for everything she's gotten and now that she's slowly getting her legs b/c it's only making her even better b/c how hard she's had to work to make the adjustment up until this point....big things are ahead for her, there's no doubt about that
