Anybody have any scoop on the teams we will be playing this week? Gymtalk, we won't be getting in until Friday morning. We have some friends in the Baltimore area that we will be staying with on Thursday. We'll see you guys on Friday.

The Lady Flames beat both Binghamton and William and Mary at the William and Mary Invitational 2 years ago. I'd happily get and give more info except the tennis teams need a lot of my time.

A quick glance at the upcoming tourny for the Lady Flames:
Princeton, an Ivy League team that is currently 2-2 in 2007. Went 18-3 last season and will be the tough team to beat this week. Good size up front with 11 returning. Take this team down and we are on a roll!
Villanova, a Big East team that is currently 5-3 in 2007. A 500 team last year with a record of 15-15. A couple of 6 footers up front. The Flames can win this one.
William & Mary, a CAA team that is currently 3-5 in 2007. We have beat this team before and I see the Flames doing it again.
Binghamton, an America East team that is currently 6-5 in 2007. Went 15-17 last year. The Flames also have a good chance against this team.
My hope is for us to come out 3-1 this weekend but I will settle for 4-0! Anyone else scout these teams ?

More Info:
Princeton is the pre-season favorite for winning the Ive League championship. They have two 1st Team All-League players in their starting line-up.
William & Mary will be tough as well. Debbie Hill, the head coach at W&M, has added some westcoast talent to her team. She recruited Kallie, and we saw two years ago that she was putting together a solid team. Note: LU played W&M in the spring and got beat... but that was before we added our "Fantastic Four" to the team (sadly, it was five).
Question: Is Bacon back for this weekend? If she plays, I believe we will go 3 and 1. If she does not play, I think we slip to 2 and 2.
Vadim - We are in the hotel where the team is staying... how about you?
Chopertony - I'll give you the between-game-calls.
Go Liberty!!!

Any word on Bacon?
Does Coach Pinder have any recruites at this tournament?
By crazy chance, I hired a VCU volleyball player (she played from 1998 - 2002) a few weeks ago to work in my marketing department, and she told me about the headcoach at Princeton. He has a strong bond with his players... according to her, they will run through walls for him. Should be interesting to how hard they play.
Go Flames!!!

Hey Gymtalk, I did not know you were lucky enough to attend another tourny. I look forward to your courtside reports, I will do the same for you when I get back there in three weeks. You really think 2-2 this weekend?
