SUNRISE ยท Jacey Bailey, one of the state's top high school sprinters, wants to leave a lasting impression before heading off to Liberty University at Lynchburg, Va., in the fall.

The Plantation alum will compete in the 100- and 200-meter races in the USA Track and Field Junior Olympic region meet that begins today at Piper.

He should make an immediate impact next year in an area on the team that is pretty weak in right now (sprints). Nice find!

Here's a link to Jacey's performances in high school. He has the potential be a solid performer once he adjusts to college athletics. It takes some time, though. Don't expect a Josh McDougal-type in a speed suit right away!
