Something had to change when Frank Landrey was rushed to the hospital from an airplane.
Trying to run a lucrative barbecue business and coach the Liberty University golf team at the same time, Landrey found himself calling his wife from Resurrection Hospital in Chicago, thinking he was in the midst of a heart attack in 1992.

Although Frank Landrey has always been fascinated by politics, he insists that his new book transcends that.
“This is not about Democrats or Republicans,” he said recently. “It’s about our survival as a free society.”
Landrey’s book, “A Statist Spy Tells All: America’s 100 Years of Debt, Deficits and Deceit,” is technically a novel, but that is only the outer wrapping for what is essentially a long dialogue on history, economics and world affairs.
