Here is the place for all other LU sponsored sports. Come here to post about: Men's/Women's Cross Country, Men's Golf, Men's/Women's Soccer, Men's/Women's Tennis, Men's/Women's Track & Field, Women's Lacrosse, Women's Swimming & Dive, Women's Volleyball
I don't know who the professor is........I know these two cause I lived with them and we talked all the time about school, law school, sports, Orta's love for Nebraska, and Clay's obsession with Gregorian Chants.
Also, Orta has immediate family graduates from Harvard...so he knows his stuff

Congratulations to Prof. Fumblerooskies & the rest of his Faculty Quiz Bowl team as they swept the LU varsity & Big South Champion Quiz Bowl team in two games played last night. As predicted, the professor dominated the sports trivia questions, but he also demonstrated a wide range of knowledge of other subjects in leading his faculty team to victory (maybe the professors really are smarter than their students!).
I would certainly be willing to give it another go if they wanted another practice session before regionals.
Thanks for the offer, but I think one beating (actually two) is enough of a wake-up call before regionals. However, we do plan to make this an annual event, so look forward to playing again next year.
I'm getting my film developed today, and pictures of the faculty-staff game will appear later this week on the Facebook Quiz Bowl interest group.

Was Dr. Saxon participating??

Two updates...
(1) we are featured in the March edition of the National Liberty Journal
(2) we leave Friday for the regional tournament at the University of Tennessee against the following colleges:
Roanoke College
Southern Virginia
Virginia Military Institute
Wofford College
William & Mary
Davidson College
Washington & Lee University
The Citadel
Radford University
Virginia Tech
Georgetown College
University of NC-Asheville
University of NC-Charlotte
The Liberty team has already beaten at least half of these teams in tournaments earlier this year, so look for us to do well in the regionals, with Tech and W&M giving us the most competition.

YEAH....i'd keep quite, everyone see's you in the corner every year on your knees at the selection show praying for a nice little VAYKAY....Hawaii gonna be a host?
Well, it was Kyle Kallander's idea to have a conference Quiz Bowl, so since LU won, we are just trying to represent the BSC well at the regionals in Knoxville.
A little insider information--Virginia Southern University (the Mormon college over in Buena Vista) finished 2nd in the regionals last year, but the average age of their team is like 35 years old. Still, our varsity team beat them at their own tournament last fall semester, which really surprised everyone else.
