OK. With LU moving to CUSA...liberty will probably have to find a home for the Lacrosse program which currently competes in the Asun but is not offered by CUSA.

Ideally, I'm sure Ian would like to have Lacrosse join Field Hockey in the Big East.

However..If the Big East doesn't offer LU lacrosse a spot...Hampton may have just helped us out. Hampton is leaving the Big South and joining the CAA...the CAA has lacrosse...so Hampton's team will play in the CAA.

However...Hampton lacrosse will be leaving the SOCON...where they parked their team while playing other sports in the Big South.

This means that SOCON lacrosse is now down to 5 teams...and 6 are needed for an autobid...so the SOCON needs a sixth team in the next to years to stay a viable conference.

If LU lacrosse can't get into the Big East..maybe the SOCON will take us because it:s another add us our die situation.

At least it may provide LU Lacrosse a home if the Big East Doesn't want us and the Asun doesn't keep us.

Just a thought.

Makes sense.

Does anybody know if Men's soccer is resolved? Last I read anything, there was uncertainty if C-USA will have enough remaining programs or not (I think it depends if the affiliates stay or move on with the departing schools).

At this point I don't know what's going to happen with men's soccer and I haven't heard anything.

The SoCon sponsors men's lacrosse, not women's lacrosse.

Ideally, we can move both men's soccer and lacrosse to the Big East, but UConn may not be happy if we don't schedule them in football in the future. Second best option is we can keep both in the ASUN. Third best option will be the Big South accepting us as associate members for those two sports, especially with Hampton's departure.

Make UConn play a home and home in hoops for every football game we give them...
