The 2006 Big South Quiz Bowl was the first organized event by the League’s Academic Consortium. The Consortium’s mission is to develop institutional relationships outside of athletics and explore ways to share programs and resources to the benefit of students and member institutions. In addition to developing the Quiz Bowl into an annual event, the Consortium is planning an Undergraduate Research Symposium among Big South member institutions in 2007.

Well, we ALL know how Coastal is academically speaking, as their "friends" at Appy State like to remind everyone.

As far as why only half the league was there, no idea...and yes A.G., I agree, we should get 8 Sasser Cup points for that, b/c otherwise its going to CCU again.
