Liberty ended up with three All Americans on Day 1 in Austin with Azaria Kirwa finishing 8th in the 10K (First Team All American), Denzel Pratt finishing 14th in the javelin (Second Team All American) and Felix Kandie finishing 13th in the 3000 Steeplechase (missing qualifying for the final by just under 2 seconds). Alejandro Perlaza Zapata won his heat in the 400 and will compete in the finals on Friday night
