That is true. Many people think of me as a Harrison Ford/Brad Pitt clone
You misunderstood. They said Henry Ford/Brad Garrett.

Maybe McCaw can perform a miracle and get us in the Big 12.

Don't laugh. Who would have ever thought Louisville, Syracuse and Pittsburg would be in ACC, or WVA in Big 12 or Maryland in Big 10.

This is beyond laughable. If you're being serious (which knowing the things you say on this board, you are), it's absurd.

Not as rough as some of the female students. What trophies do they get?

Purple - Why don't you call the school and ask for a lunch with McCaw? I think you would change your opinion and understand the idea that not everything you read is accurate and/or tells the whole story.

I asked for a meeting and had lunch with him a few weeks ago, and I'm now certain Liberty is in good hands and will one day look back at this hire as one of the best decisions that the school has made, in the athletic world.

Yes. I know you can't believe everything you read. It's obvious you don't because Ive typed that several times.
You weren't exactly skeptical going in. You were his biggest cheerleader on this board. So he really didn't have to prove anything to you
You also assume that I don't think he's a good AD. I think his track record shows he is good at getting things built. I'm positive he is very good at 'shaking hands and kissing babies'. This is a good hire for both parties. He gets a chance to rebab his image LU gets an overqualified AD. Since LU obviously does not care about PR it's irrelevant whether the investigation at Baylor turns up anything or not. Either way the narrative will be 'Second Chances'. In fact, LU fans should HOPE the investigation turns up something. That way it would be assured no one else would hire him and LU can have his talents for years!
LU swung for the fences with this hire. It's obvious the thought process is The ends justify the means. That's fine. It's not how I would do things but I'm not in charge

Keeping up with the happenings in Waco. I'm skeptical how this person knows of 52 acts of rape. I don't think she's saying SHE was raped 52 times.
The Baylor Bruins are getting a bad rap here. I'm sure they are no different than any other Big XII 'Hostess Comittee' for incoming recruits. Every school has them. It was also funny to connect the dots of 'The Country's Largest Baptist University ' and the number of drinking parties going on. I know LU has them, but DANG....
The 2nd article is interesting because of the reactions. I'm not sure I buy all of the accusations. But as I read the Tweets, I kept wondering if they would somehow turn out Prophetic?

Although Briles dropped his libel lawsuit, three of the Board of Regents' lawyer, Rusty Hardin, responded to another libel lawsuit filed by the former assistant AD of football operations.

The legal filing is included in the middle of the story. Maybe the only new light regarding McCaw is on page 14.

But it all becomes ammo for the local columnist to keep swinging for the fences --

In reference to a player who was arrested for assault and threatening to kill a non-athlete, a football operations staff member "tried to talk the victim out of pressing criminal charges," the document states. The correspondence from Sept. 20, 2013, quotes Briles in a text to McCaw, "Just talked to [the player] - he said Waco PD was there - said they were going to keep it quiet - Wasn't a set up deal ... I'll get shill [Shillinglaw] to ck on Sibley." (Sibley was in reference to Waco attorney Jonathan Sibley.) It states McCaw responded, "That would be great if they kept it quiet."
It's more embarrassing and disappointing to be an alum every day.
