The Liberty Flames men's soccer team has announced the addition of six All-Americans to its roster for the 2016-17 academic school year. Three of the additions earned High School All-American status, while the other three will transfer to Liberty after receiving the honor during their collegiate careers....

Corban Crosley, Shalom Dutey and Rigoberto Rojas were each named an All-American during their prep careers....

Those three will joined by transfers Tresor Mbuyu, Edgardo Reyes and Pepe Segarra, who all earned All-America honors in the collegiate ranks.

So is COA paying dividends? That's impressive.

Hopefully we can get back to this type of recruit regularly now that Mrs. Coach is doing better health wise. I give Coach Alder a total pass the past couple years.

If you read the fine print, the 3 transfers were at non-DI schools:
NCCAA All American
Junior College All American
NAIA All American

I agree...his head clearly wasn't on soccer.

That's pretty insulting. Im sure he was doing his job to the best of his ability. He just had a big and understandable distraction. To say his head clearly wasn't on soccer is saying you think he just mailed it in and did nothing with the team.

Exactly. Coach gave it everything he had. He just has other things taking some of his attention.

While Im disappointed in the on-field results we have had the last couple seasons, I am glad that his priorities are in the right place. Winning a Big South championship but missing time with your spouse when they need you the most really makes that championship ring kinda hollow in my book. Hopefully now that she is on the other side of this, he can take us back to the top...especially with CCU in the Sun Belt.

Im sorry. I was not intending to insult Coach Alder by saying that.
