I know several people on this board will be happy that he won't be doing color for basketball on the TV side anymore. But this begs the question who takes his spot as Nick Pierce's commentary partner, Warner? McGibbon? a rotating team of digital media majors? or bring another new person?

Chierstin leaving made sense, she had an opportunity for a step up and jumped at it. Clement is going to a website, sure it's based in Chicago, his hometown, but it seems way out of left field and kind of a step down.

He isn't my favorite game time announcer/commentator, but I think he does a great job on Game On.

Clement isn't going to a website, he's going to 120 Sports which is based out of Chicago, his hometown. It's a new, national brand which is already being carried on Apple TV and Roku and has attracted some high-level talent including Michael Kim, Steve Phillips, Antoine Walker, Alex Schlereth (Mark's daughter). It's not a step down.

I like Clement and thought that he did a good job, especially at Game On.

I always thought he was perfect in the game on roll. He got criticism for his basketball but let's be honest we were all biased towards scar. It was a losing battle from the beginning. Haha

They need to replace him for both Game On and basketball analyst, so they will definitely be looking to hire someone. Keep in mind, the decision to let SCAR go was based on a FSN strategy to try to go in-house whenever possible. Townsend never stood a chance with this crowd. SCAR is not only good, he is one of us.

It will be much easier to hire talent this time around now that there is product for prospective candidates to see. Hiring some more small market guys like Clement from stations giving them 2 minutes a night shouldn't be difficult. Everybody wants the Sportscenter-type of experience and not the :10 intros into VOSOTs with the occassional PKG found in most smaller markets in local TV.
