Liberty has just defeated Charleston Southern in a hard fought 5 game match 30-20, 26-30. 27-30, 30-21, 24-22) Kallie Corbin had a triple double with 12 kills, 53 assists and 17 digs. Autumn Black led the way with 16 kills and a .536 attack percentage. Allyson Sanders and Kendall Nichols also finished in double figures in the kill department with 12 and 11, respectively. LU moves to 5-11 overall and 3-2 in the BSC. Charleston Southern, led by Jenni Shepherd's 26 kills falls to 5-13 on the year, 0-5 in BSC play. Charleston Southern next heads down south to face Birmingham Southern as they continue a 4 game conference road swing with a match on the 14th against the Panthers. Meanwhile there is no rest for the weary as LU heads down to the Tar Heel State to face UNC Greensboro in a non-conference matchup. Game time for that match is 7 PM

Our play was quite sloppy after the first game. Our passing broke down and we had too many serving errors and hitting errors at key times but at least the team dug deep to win a ugly game.

Yeah...he was down there along with a couple other suits, and had this to say about our Lady Flames VBall team "These young ladies are great athletes but more importantly they are great Christians. Coach Pinder has put together a program that is winning and is going to do Liberty proud."

I saw that I missed your call SC after I got done typing the article for the champion, sorry bout that...

The heat is now on. The big question is though, do Falwell and/or Barber care enough about vball to intervene?

I'm really "Pulling for Pinder" & the LU girls. It seems like (is) that Winthrop is quite successful
across the board right now, almost as if it's them and then everybody else pcikin' up the crumbs from under the table. Why is that? (Understand that we're looking for that to change in MBB).

You have to give Pinder at least one more year to right the ship. The previous coach left all aspects of the program in a mell of a hess and the transition was not a smooth one.

Winthrop is also heavily investing in their VBall program right now as well. And yes, the transition between coaches was not smooth, to say the least...to be honest, I am completely undecided on my position about Pinder right now. I see and understand both sides, and while looking at the records and stuff its easy to say fire him, then you look at the competition we face and its just hard to pick a side right now...at least, for me it is.
