The Liberty men's tennis team rallied from a 3-1 deficit to edge Big South Conference rival Coastal Carolina, 4-3, on Wednesday afternoon at the Billy Nichols Tennis Center. However, I do think there was one more win over Coastal in 2005 in the conference tournament in 2011 (http://www.liberty.edu/flames/index.cfm ... &TeamID=12)
The win improves the Flames' record to 11-9 overall and 4-3 in conference matches. The victory marks Liberty's first win over a Chanticleers' squad, which was ranked as high as No. 68 nationally this season, since the 2005 campaign, halting a 10-match losing skid. The loss drops defending Big South champion Coastal Carolina to 10-9 on the season and 2-4 in league play.
