DELMAR — Amy Wilson’s road to becoming a Division I field hockey player was not your typical one.

After not playing the sport at a young age, Wilson took it up in high school and almost quit after a year. Once she decided to continue with it, the forward fell in love with the game as a sophomore.

Also as a sophomore, Wilson fell in love with Liberty College after making a visit there. So it was no surprise that Wilson combined her two favorite things as she recently signed a letter of intentto play field hockey at the Lynchburg, Va., school.

Hey, give their incompetence some credit. After all, Amy signed a "letter of intentto."

Despite the poor grammar of the article it's nice to see someone from the MD Eastern Shore get a chance,that part of the state doesn't get much press as far as high school sports goes.
