STONINGTON - Stonington High's Jackie Albert signed a national letter of intent to play field hockey for Division I Liberty University on Monday.
Albert signed the letter in Stonington Athletic Director Bryan Morrone's office and will be joining an almost brand-new program in the fall. The Flames completed their first season as a Division I team in 2011, playing an independent schedule, and will join the Big South Conference this year.
