In their lone match of the week, the Liberty women's tennis team will serve as the season and home opener for Longwood, Thursday. The Lady Flames and Lancers are scheduled to face off at 1:30 p.m. in Farmville, Va.
This match is well underway and I am hoping that the Lady Flames are competing well.

I noticed that Longwood is to join the Big South Conference in July of 2012!

Yeah, the Lancers are joining the league. We're hoping we don't share conferene affiliation long as we move up.

Here's hoping our LU is pounding their LU this afternoon.

That looks like it was quite the duel. Glad our doubles action went so well.

Hi Sly!
Yes, the doubles point was crucial!!!! It definitely gave us the win over Longwood!
Beginning with our first match we have had some tough competition.... Georgetown, App State, and the University of Richmond, but I truly think we are going to have a good season!!! The moral is high, the coaches are excellent, and I know the ladies are going to compete strong and hard!

I am excited that the season is underway. I just wish I were closer to watch both the men and women as they compete and fight hard for Liberty!

Have a great day!!!

Go Flames!!
