Pinder Signs Three Volleyball Players To National Letters Of Intent

January 30, 2006 · Lynchburg, Va.

Liberty University head volleyball coach Shane Pinder has announced the signing of Kallie Corbin, Kirstyn Sanders and Stephanie Stow to national letters of intent for the 2006-07 academic year.

Kallie Corbin – 5-7, Setter, Westview HS, Beaverton, Ore.
Corbin is a four-year starting setter at the prep level with three years at Westview High School in Beaverton, Ore. (freshman, junior and senior years) and one year at La Quinta High School in La Quinta, Calif. (sophomore year).

Corbin was named to the third-team All-Metro team as a freshman and has been a three-time first-team all-league selection since her sophomore season. As a sophomore, she led La Quinta to a league championship and was named the league’s Player of the Year.

Corbin returned to Westview for her junior and senior years and was a two-year first-team all-league honoree, leading the squad to consecutive second-place conference finishes. As a senior, she was named to the first-team all-state squad and was chosen the league’s Player of the Year.

Corbin has also been very active at the club volleyball level as a starting setter for the last five years with various programs, including the last two years with the Portland Volleyball Club – 18 Black squad.

Kirstyn Sanders – 6-0, MB/OH, Charter HS, Bear, Del.
Sanders is a four-year letterwinner from Bear, Del. that has helped Charter High School to four-straight appearances in the state tournament. As a sophomore, Sanders was named to the all-tournament team at the Sussex Tournament and was an honorable mention all-conference selection, while helping her squad to a Blue Hen Conference championship and a third-place finish in the state tournament.

During her junior season, Sanders was named to the first-team all-conference team and second-team all-state squad, while guiding Charter to a fourth-place finish at the state tournament.

Sanders was a first-team all-conference and all-state selection as a senior, helping her team to another Blue Hen Conference championship and a fourth-place finish at the state tournament. Sanders was named the Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Delaware, while also being named the Delaware Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association Player of the Year.

Stephanie Stow – 6-1, MB, Murrieta Calvary Chapel HS, Murrieta, Calif.
Stow is a three-year letterwinner at Murrieta Calvary Chapel High School in Murrieta, Calif. where she has been a three-time first-team all-league selection as a middle blocker.

As a junior, Stow was named to the first-team all-league and all-Valley teams, while being named the All-Area Player of the Year and the league’s Most Valuable Player. During her senior season, she repeated as a first-team all-league selection and as the All-Area Player of the year, while being named the team’s Offensive Player of the Year. Stow became the first player from Murrieta Calvary Chapel to earn an athletic scholarship from a NCAA Division I program.

Stow has been a three-year player in the California club volleyball systems, playing her sophomore year for Viper Volleyball and the last two years for Vintage Volleyball out of Temecula, Calif. All three of her club programs have been nationally ranked, including this year’s Vintage team that finished the year with an 18-1 overall record.
