Representatives from men's soccer, football, cross country and track and field programs, plus a long-time broadcaster will be among the next five members inducted into the Liberty Athletics Hall of Fame in September.

The five-member class, the third such to be inducted into the Liberty Athletics Hall of Fame, will be honored during special ceremonies surrounding Liberty's football match-up with James Madison on Sept. 17 at Williams Stadium.

The five-member class includes Paul Annan (men's soccer), Fred Banks (football), Bill Bell (men's soccer coach), Jerry Edwards (radio play-by-play) and Heather (Sagan) Zealand (cross country/track and field).

Great looking class hearkening back to my days on campus.

Freddy was the first LU Flame to have an impact on the field in the NFL. And by sheer coincidence, I stumbled across Paul on LinkedIn a few months ago. He's a CPA working for Mercedes of America in Tuscaloosa. He was an amazing keeper who didn't get to keep near enough against NCAA DI competition. But he was ridiculously athletic.

Her husband was and probably still teaching in the sport management department and was my sport psychology prof. when I was on the Mountain.

Not sure her husband is in LU's HOF... He was a good runner, but the HOF has very few members at this point.

Sorry Cider and BJ - I read it again and see now what he was saying. Her husband works in Data department(?) at LU. Her brother-in-law is the professor of SMGT.
