Locked?

PAmedic,
I went on vacation and you locked the thread? This sight is for fans of liberty wrestling to express themselves in a non offensive way. Those that are offensive should be warned and maybe their privileges suspended, but that should be an extremely rare and high threshold.
Should the mantra be changed to Your School. Your Team. Only your complying voice
You are essentially cutting off those who you disagree. I have read a lot of wrestling forums that discuss the highly charged issues of title 9 but they were never "locked" Only in communist/dictatorship countries do people wield their power in such a way. You may not like what people are writing but to restrict non vulgar or non offensive language is as short-sighted as the AD's decision. Power can be intoxicating don't let this little bit consume you, rather be gracious to discourse and let reason prevail. Do you really espouse free speech? or is just when you agree with it. This is the worst representation of "Liberty" I have seen from anyone associated with LU. You locking a forum speaks volumes, that I don't think you fully consider. I understand the emotional side you may feel and I am sympathetic but locking a forum sends the wrong message.
We are a forgiving bunch we look forward to your apology
Brad

This may win the award for dumbest post ever in a wrestling thread.
And that's saying a lot.

I have a sneaking suspicion that Medic won't be the one apologizing

It is rarely I agree with SuperJon, but I do this time.

I agree as well...Im sorry but now that the decision is made, the only thing that can happen is these discussions degenerate into things that really either have already been said or its going to get personal on a dangerous level and considering that people from the administration (including our chancellor) read this board...we dont need any more trouble.

BJ - I agree.
I also agree with PA Medic for locking some of those threats. I tired to to offer some solutions to the title IX problems, but it did not work out. After all is said and done ... I offer these closing opinions:
1) I could not imagine a better person to lead LU than Jerry Jr. My respect for him has grown tremendously over this period of discourse. I support him 100%
2) I personally witnessed lives transformed because of LU wrestling and I am sad that other people (future LU wrestlers) will not have that same chance.
3) IMO - the AD could have handled the title IX challenges differently; but in the end, I do not blame him.
4) I pray we find a way to defeat the current trend of title IX - I know it will take years, but I am hopeful.
Personally, I am sad beyond words when I think that I will never see my kid wrestle at the NCAA level again -- I knew it was going to end one day- just didn't expect it to end like this.
God Bless Jesse and the last of the LU wrestlers.

Dan, I know none of this is still easy but that's a great post and I'm glad to see any of the confusion as to why might have been cleared up. Hope you check back in from time to time.

I didn't read most of the crap in this thread or the previous thread....
but to answer your question the thread was closed because it had gone from a simple discussion to just plain stupid.....

I'm just going to short and simply say that I'm sad that this thread was locked simply because somebody didn't like what was being said.
Any impression that somehow I get enjoyment out of watching wrestling fans "suffer" is completely absurd.

the same crap was being said over and over again...I mean it probably shouldn't of been locked...but seriously the conversation was going around and round in circles....
