This kid was a stud this weekend at states and just dominated his compition at states this year. He will definitely be a great addition to the team next year.

The New Oxford senior proved himself wrong in a big way Saturday night, blasting his way to state gold by dominating Canon-McMillan sophomore Connor Schram, 10-4, in the 112-pound finals. The nearly flawless and historic victory included three crisp takedowns, a set of nearfall points and, finally, a smile from the reserved Conaway.

“It’s awesome,” said the soft-spoken Ox senior. “I kept working for it and, I don’t know, it’s surreal I guess.”

Conaway was unreal at Dapper Dan all star by defeating #1 in the country at 112lbs Evan Silver...Silver is a 4 time NJ state champ...talk on the wrestling boards is Jordan is having a fantastic post season including this big win...

And a fourth upset of a number one ranked wrestler came in the next match, as No. 12 Jordan Conaway (New Oxford) upended Evan Silver (Blair Academy, New Jersey) 3-2, which extended the Pennsylvania lead to 15-6. The Liberty University bound Conaway just "waited for an opportunity to capitalize" against Silver, which he did midway through the third period.
