Winthrop to keep McCartney

Witnhrop has renewed Joel McCartney's contract to 2011...I'd say thats a well earned renewal, since Winthrop has won the last 4 Big South Championships...(and thats where it'll stop).

They are a well-funded program in a solid recruiting zone there in the Charlotte area. Its going to be tough to knock them from their roost in the Big South. But it can be done no matter who is coaching in Rock Hill.
