Anybody going to be headed out to the scrimmage Saturday against Concord? Obviously the football team last year showed us taking this school lightly in an opener can be dangerous. :)

This will be our first chance to check out this fall's edition of the squad. So any reports would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps Kendall can update her blog or one of her teammates can take the mantle of online ambassador for the team.

The girls looked pretty good. They played three 30-minute halves. I caught the last two. The first two halves were scoreless. We scored 2 goals in the 3rd and they scored a goal as well. We easily had more possession (I'm saying 85% to 15% while I was there) and a lot more shots. Their one shot that went in just happened to bounce over the keepers head. We are really good on set pieces and corners. Other than that, it's hard to tell anything else this early.

Just out of curiosity, who scored the two goals?

It was the same girl, she came close to a hat trick a few times. I just don't know her name.

Our set pieces and corners are nasty. I was with the men's soccer team and they kept jokingly making bets on which set piece and/or corner we would score on.
