We all know Sam is going to make the best runners in the country look silly again, but the rest of the guys have something to prove on Saturday.

Women-11:00
Men-12:50
(This gives you time to watch the race and then switch over to ESPN3 for the football game. We'll call it internet tailgating.)

Sam jogged it in and still won by over 10 seconds. Evans finished pretty well too, and we may have had a 3rd runner in the top 50.

Evans finished 20th; same as nationals last spring.

Here is the write-up from the SIDs ...

Sam Chelanga was victorious at Pre-Nationals for the second time in the last three years.

Sam Chelanga enjoyed a comfortable victory in the men's 8K white race, highlighting Liberty's showing at Saturday's Pre-Nationals in Terre Haute, Ind. Meanwhile, Jennifer Klugh's 36th-place effort highlighted the Lady Flames' performance in the women's 6K blue race.

Chelanga's second career Pre-Nationals victory led the Liberty men's squad to its best finish ever at this meet, 10th place out of 36 entrants. The Flames' score of 378, also aided by Evans Kigen's 20th-place finish, put them ahead of two nationally-ranked teams. Liberty defeated No. 21 Tulsa and No. 25 Minnesota in the final standings. Two other nationally-ranked squads topped the men's white race standings, as No. 16 Oklahoma defeated No. 19 BYU by a 106-138 margin.

Okay showing by the team. I'm sure they were hoping for a little bit higher, but you can't argue with the best placing in school history.

Post-race interview with Sam: http://www.flotrack.org/videos/coverage ... white-race

My favorite part is about 1:00 in when the girl asks him where his conference meet is being held. He responds with, "It's in Virginia, at a school called Radford."
