Hi Sly Fox!!
Well, I know just a little but, I too keep checking the Liberty site for an actual report!!
Cam played #2 in the singles line-up and she joined Jordan Jenkins at #1 spot for doubles... from what I can tell (from the Mary Washington website) Cam & Jordan won all of their doubles matches!!
Now, Jordan and Cam also both won their singles matches on Saturday and they were in the finals today... I don't know those results.
I am not even sure of the line-up for the rest of the team... Oh, I wish I knew. As soon as I see something on our site, I will be sure to post!
Cam did call home last night and she said they all had a great day! I am hoping to hear from her soon.
Thanks so much for asking!
Coach did send me a photo of Cam after a singles win... oh, it was such a gift! I just wish we were closer to support the team. We just continue to cheer from afar! Thanks again, as soon as I know something I will post!
Happy Night!

Hi Sly Fox!
Cam just called... It was great to hear from her!
I don't have the full report because she had a ton of homework to complete for the morning.
Anyway, we did find out that... Jordan won her finals at # 1 and Cam won her finals at #2!
Cam said the team really did well.
I will post the complete results, if and when, they comes out.
Yes, Cameron was SO honored to play at #1 with Jordan and then at #2 in singles.
The line-up, I am sure, will change up a good bit, the coaches are just getting a chance to see all of the girls in competition.
So, Cam had a great first ever college tournament, she enjoyed the competition, her teammates and the entire experience. :D
Thanks again for inquiring and I hope you have a great week!

LibertyFlames.com wrote:Women's Tennis Has Successful Opening Weekend

September 18, 2010| Fredericksburg, Va.

The Liberty women's tennis team produced a very successful opening weekend to their fall tournament schedule by claiming two flight titles and eleven doubles victories during play at the Mary Washington Kickoff Tournament in Fredericksburg, Va.

The Lady Flames' eight competitors produced a 29-7 record, including a near flawless 11-1 record in doubles play. Jordan Jenkins claimed the Flight A singles title, while Jessica Boda earned the crown in the Flight D singles bracket. Liberty also had two runner-ups in Hannah Fick in the B flight, and Valeriya Klintsevich in the C flight.
And just for tennisfan ...
Cameron Richard had a successful debut for the Flames, posting a 3-0 record on the weekend. The freshman mirrored her teammate Jenkins by not dropping a set in singles play, defeating each of her opponents in straight sets.

The Flames' play in doubles also proved to be highly successful, with the ladies' pairs only dropping one match on the weekend. The pairing of Jenkins and Richard produced a 3-0 record in doubles, capping off an undefeated weekend for each of them.

Hi Sly Fox!
I am already worn out and I have only had texting for about an hour. Cameron is so excited!! She has texted me about 30 times now and our son sent a mass text out to all of his friends and so now they all know... he has had a blast! I hope I made the right decision. One thing for sure, I should be able to keep everyone on here up to date (as long as Cam is not on the court playing). Thanks for the nomination, I am sure I would never qualify for such an honor!!! Thanks for the vote of confidence though!

Hi BJWilliams!
Oh, a million thanks! I have to say we are just completely honored that Cam was asked to be a part of this wonderful university. It is a great fit for her and she called it home immediately! That is what makes us so proud, that she is happy and enjoying her new family! Please do say hello if you see her! We definitely plan to make some road trips... got to cheer for the Flames! Thanks Again! :D
