Lady Flames Start Preseason Practice

After reporting to campus yesterday, the 2010 Liberty Lady Flames volleyball team began its first day of preseason practice this morning.

After a team breakfast and a weight training session, the squad split up between the Schilling Center and the Campus East Gym for the first court practice of 2010 at 9:30 a.m. Outside hitters and defensive specialists were assigned to Schilling, where they worked with assistant coaches Jennifer Vaden and Josh Hill, while setters and middle blockers went to the Campus East facility to work with head coach Shane Pinder for opening drills.

The team will begin training in the Vines Center, where home matches are played, on Aug. 9, when the resurfacing project is complete.

I'm not sure its been mentioned but this is the first time in program history that we now have a 2nd full time assistant coach.....this is needed to get to another level and the Athletic Department and Admin stepped up. This is what the top tier programs in BSC and country have
