We were picked second in the conference this year. While Coastal received the most first place votes, there doesn't seem to be a consensus on a clear cut favorite this year. And congrats to Karyl Bacon on being selected to the pre-season All Big South squad.
1. Coastal Carolina (4)
2. Liberty (2)
3. Winthrop (2)
4. High Point (1)
5. UNC Asheville
6. Charleston Southern
7. Presbyterian College
8. Gardner-Webb
9. Radford

I hope the poll is wrong, and we end up first. Karyl deserves the recognition. Kim and I hope to attend at least one match this year. We are going to do our best to be there for Karyl's Senior Night.

Mark my words: Charleston Southern is NOT a 5th place team. They're going to surprise folks and finish much better than that.

I should be there for the homecoming weekend match. Hopefully more parents find their way to the board. We have really enjoyed having you all on here to share their experiences.

I would agree, and I can see them pushing us, Winthrop and Coastal but I'm just not convinced this is the year they finish in the top 3. High Point is always solid and I can see CSU finishing ahead of them. Here are my possible final standings:
1. LU/CCU/WU
2. LU/CCU/WU
3. LU/CCU/WU/HPU
4. WU/HPU/CSU/UNCA
5. WU/HPU/CSU/UNCA
6. HPU/CSU/UNCA
7. PC/GW
8. PC/GW
9. RU
LU and CCU are beatable, I just don't see anyone knocking them off at the top other than Winthrop. Winthrop is a bit of a wild card, they've been slipping some every year since Joel left but they have had too much traditional success that I can't count them out. HPU is a solid program, not top of the league but definitely top half. Same with UNCA. CSU has made great strides to come from the bottom of the conference. PC I'm honestly not sure about, GW just hasn't impressed me much and RU continues to have coaching turnover problems which plagues recruiting and program building.
