Well, Liberty Tennis concluded today.
I have had so much fun following both the men and women's teams.
I always looked forward to my daily check-ups on the Liberty Athletic Site, The Big South Conference Site and of course, Flamefans.com for the latest!!
The girls team just had such a battle with injuries and such yet they stayed committed! The men had some super close matches and an overall great season!
Congrats to Coach and the athletes!
I will continue to follow all of the other Liberty athletic teams but I will miss my tennis teams for sure!!!
Now, I will look forward to following the Lady Flames and Men Flames in the Fall!!

It was a good season for the guys, but to see it end for some of the players I've worked with over the past four years the way it did...well, it was a little heartbreaking. The girls, it was what it was, the injury bug bit hard. Hopefully they will all stay healthy and return to contention next season.

It is a tad frustrating for the guys considering how well they've been playing.

Really looking forward to what the girls will be like this fall without health issues (Lord willing) and some incoming talent. Can I hear a witness, tennisfan?

reminds me of hockey and soccer. And football. We need to learn to finish in the post-season.

Congrats on turning the program around, though. Between tennis and golf, this spring has been a nice surprise. Looking forward to next year

The guys did have such a good season and it looked as if they were peaking at just the right time. I know they were very disappointed with the championship tournament. I definitely wish the scores had gone our way and the finish had been different. They can be proud of a great season!!

Sly Fox, Cam is working really hard and preparing for her arrival on campus. She has quite a few tournaments lined up so that she stays match tough. Division 1 will be super competitive, if she makes the top six, she will do her best to represent LU both on and off the court in a Godly way. She is REALLY excited to be coached by Coach Johnson. He has told her that he can, within a short time, bring her game to a new level. You can count on the fact that she will give him 100% or more if possible. We are just so excited to be a part of the Liberty Family!

Congrats again to the men and women. Like I said earlier, it has been great fun to follow these teams!
