Yup, I made the drive to the burg to watch, it was a good match but could've/should've gone a bit more in our favor, but it is good to see the guys get the 4-3 monkey off their backs. The men are a young team, and they needed to pull out a tight match after several close losses.

Hi ATrain!!
Oh, Wow... I am so glad you got to go out and support the team! Next year, I am definitely going to make the drive!! Am I going crazy... I thought I saw a match up with Gardner-Webb for today, Saturday March 28th. I can't even find it on the schedule anymore?? Maybe I just misread the schedule.
As far as the men's results, I think they are doing great. The girls have much to contend with... how brutal to go into a match having to give 2 defaults right off the bat. I know they are fighting hard and keeping their spirits up.
Thanks for the update!!

The match with GW was probably rescheduled, it rained quite a bit.

And yes, the girls do have a lot to contend with. See what happens when the best GA in the history of the program graduates and moves on? It just all falls apart, lol.

Nah, in all seriousness our girls currently have two players out due to injuries/other issues, one was in tears because she hurt her ankle a week ago but was fighting through the pain to play anyway, another cannot hit a backhand due to tendonitis in the left wrist, and our very good #2 player Nadia Solomon-Burgess also has an injured ankle sustained at Norfolk State but also fought through the pain and won on Saturday. The only healthy one right now is Jordan Jenkins (and I hope I just didn't jinx her).

Hi ATrain!
I guess this is what happens when the best GA leaves town. I know they miss you and what hard times have fallen on the team. Maybe all the girls will be healthy by late April for the Big South Championship Tournament. It would great to start a match with a full ladder. Thanks for the update and we continue to cheer from afar.
We will just hope that your post didn't jinx Jordan, what a competitor she is!! lol, thanks again! :D

I'm just glad we beat UNCA in something ... still reeling from weekend of baseball.
