Have to admit this sudden 2-game skid is disconcerting. Anybody dream a week ago that our girls soccer team would have better Big South record than our volleyball team?

These last 2 losses are mindboggling. Is the Big South getting tougher or are we underacheiving?

I really think that the injury to Kallie Corbin may play into tonight's loss but I think we may be underachieving at this point and Coach Pinder is going to be doing some work ahead of the match Friday night

I agree, we are not playing well right now, but over time talent and experience will bring wins.
I think this season will be remembered for tests, trials, and big victories.
I believe in Pinder's program, and the talent and fighting spirit found in each of the girls.
Go Liberty Volleyball!!!

I agree with Gymtalk...
When it comes down to the nitty gritty- we can play! I mean, we nearly took out Duke, so we KNOW that we have the potential... That was the craziest game I have ever seen, personally!
As we work on building more stability, I think our niche will come to fruition. There's a reason why there are new lineups this season, and for one it is to prepare the youngins for the future of liberty vball! Let's DOMINATE!

p.s. I happened to see a setter tonight while playing my intramural volleyball game, and she def looks like college material--at least DII material... She has a nice jump set and her players were getting good slide attacks and quickies down pat

the injury hurts us but no this was not the main factor, courtney boggs was amazing and made me feel good about a post kallie era.
the big problem was unforced errors, i think TTL put it the best, we try to run through people, tonight we got the crap blocked out of us (literally) and that killed us, plus HPU played their kills off our blocks really well...
i think that HPU is a great team, but we did not come to play today
on a side not Kallie was not happy tonight, we exchanged a couple looks midway through the 3rd and towards the end of the 4th and yea.....

Yeah, we didn't play good defense, lots of people out of position, or balls that dropped within reach of a player who didn't know it was their ball to get.
Also, we tried to hit through their blocks, they tried to hit off of ours. Their plan worked a lot better. The girls didn't serve well, either, and that didn't help. Lots of unforced errors.
However, we have a ton of talent, and you can see it even when we lose. This team will be fine, we just need to play with more discipline.

HPU is a great team?? Maybe they are improving a lot and maybe they played a great match last night, but that win moved them to 2-5 in conference games. Not sure that can be characterized as a great team.

Eh... I think they have a lot of good players. Their defense is really solid, and they have one or two hitters who are just automatic.
Not sure why they are struggling, they won the regular season in '08, right?

I think that's the one thing that each student should do at least once. I know TTL and SJ will say this too, but some of the best and worst (My ******* donuts) memories have come off roadtrips to away games.
