Lady Flames do well in New York

A trip to Flushing Meadows and the USTA National Tennis Center, home of the US Open, paid dividends for a couple Lady Flames this weekend. Jordan Jenkins won her flight:

And Nadia Solomon-Burgess beat a girl from NC State in her first round match:

Definitely not a bad weekend up in NYC

Oh Wow! We are so excited for the girls!! And Jordan is in the finals, already took out the #1 seed. She is on Fire!! Thanks so much for the post ATrain and thanks for the USTA link. I actually tried to find the tournament on line but wasn't successful. I really like to look at the draws!! Go Flames!!

Well, I guess I should have looked at the USTA link prior to my last post, Jordan Won!! This is just amazing. Thanks again for keeping us posted.

Sorry, one more post! Jordan took out 3 seeded players and she was not even seeded. She took out the #4 seed, #1 seed and #2 seed... What an amazing tournament she had. Thanks again ATrain!!

The ITA won't release regional and national rankings for individual players till January (I think), but I'll be shocked if she isn't seeded at regionals.
