New Asst. Coach Announced

The new asst. coach has formally been announced:

Just a couple of minor corrections .... Joe was a two-time D-I runner-up (2nd) while at U of M. I can personally vouch for his intensity and focus! Great to see him back at the D-I level- Best of luck, bro.

Awesome news! Congrates and hope to see the difference on the mats! If he coached under Gable he has to have some intensity to his style.

This new assistant has the same name as his nephew who is a LU wrestler.

Head coach Jesse Castro has announced the hiring of Joe Pantaleo as the new assistant wrestling coach for the Flames. Coach Pantaleo is a former two-time NCAA runner-up at Michigan and a two-time Olympic alternate. He began his coaching career at Iowa and Michigan State, and has most recently helped as a volunteer at Michigan while pursuing other business interests. In other developments, the wrestling training complex is undergoing some renovations, including three new coaches offices and a new cardio room.
