Glad to hear from a cheerleader...I sit on the old folks side, so I can't see you as well...but we support you...I haven't heard any bad comments about the outfits.

Its hard with college students...you'll see that college age people like to complain alot...but when they come back to LU, they sometimes underestimate how good the experience actually was.

I hope that your season goes well. What do you mean by cheering on two teams? Are there separate cheerleeding squads apart from universities that compete?

Thanks for the support!
Yes, it's and All-Star team. All-Star teams are primarily for kids anywhere from 3-18 years old. All-star teams have their own gyms and are not affiliated with any school. All these teams do is compete. We are on what's called and Open Team. It's an all-star team for anyone over 18 years old. We will compete throughout VA and we are able to do some crazy stunts and tumbling that's not allowed at the college level.

hey, i for one appreciate the short skirts. im fairly certain the RA was just jealous that she either A. cant wear a short skirt B. CANT wear a short skirt

(guys know the difference in those two...lol)

i do MMA, which people say is "dangerous" or "a bloodsport". the fact is that cheerleading and gymnastics are WAY more dangerous than MMA (heck, at this point, boxing and marathon running are too...lol) but i have mad props for cheerleaders. ill take punches in bunches to the noggin any day. kick me in the leg all u want. aint no way on gods green earth i am gettin thrown 30 ft in the air!!!! HECK NO!

and let me add...

:needspics

cheers : )

One thing I've noticed over the years is that there aren't many, if any, senior cheerleaders. Is that a LU rule or something or just coincidence?

From what I've noticed, we've never had that many cheerleaders. Anyone remember Shippensburg from this past year...they must have had 25 - 30 girls over there for an AWAY game.

I think we need more cheerleaders and colorguard members in the band. Both seem to be very small at LU. At the basketball games, it seemes that there is about 7 cheerleaders...and I remember on senior day for football, 3 cheerleaders were seniors...so that leaves only 4 for next year, unless I'm missing something.

in bball they divide them into 2 teams and they rotate games, that way if there is a doubleheader they don't have to go as long

As for why the color guard isnt bigger...well honestly I don't know the whole story but I think the lack of a consistent instructor might play a role in it (the lady that is our current instructor is going to head back to TX with her husband once he finishes his masters in May)
