We are using the E.C. Glass Courts as the courts at LU had been scheduled for resurfacing next week over Spring Break and the company doing it found some other problems they needed to take care before resurfacing, so the team was forced to move the Virginia Intermont and Radford matches there. Ours will be resurfaced while the team travels over Spring Break and will have new courts when they return. The resurfacing was planned last fall for the first good weather week which is Spring Break. It just became a scheduling problem when other problems were found. A Train was partially right.

. Only at LU can there be a coach with no team (wrestling--but that is being done the RIGHT way) and a team with no coach. UNBELIEVABLE. It's not like they've had most of NOVEMBER, DECEMBER, JAN, AND FEB to get a warm body in here. It's amazing how many people are willing to drink the LU kool aid but don't have the sense to go to JF and get the man to make a decision.
Now, some of you will say, "We had no AD." You can't tell me that someone, somewhere in the hierarchy, doesn't know that this is a real problem (not having a coach)--or did the folks that precipitated the November blood letting not stop to think. YA THINK!!!

I hate to point out error to my Dark Lord, but you make several assumptions that need, I feel, to be corrected to balance the force.

1 In just about any contest the Wrestlers could really beat up the Tennis players, therefore they get a coch.
2. We did seem to hire a football coach with only minor difficulties w/out an AD.
3. And this oh great dark one is where the force can balance. You are assuming that "the powers that be" actually CARE ABOUT TENNIS!!! To them it is just a sport to A. Help w/ Sasser Cup and B. Give us the minimum requirements to be Division I
4. They will be more then happy to retain whoever is coaching now. This would be good for two reasons. 1. She probably won't make waves b/c she will just "be happy to be here." 2. She would look good on the Title IX report, because how many female head coaches do we have? hmmmmm

If they cared, which they don't, about tennis they could have shipped someon over the the Sport Raquet and recruit a coach. Heck, spend some time in the Tennis section at Dick's (am I allowed to say that?) and I am sure we could have found someone!

I could get going on this subject and what a mistake it was to let Larry Hubbard go. But it is all typical and I have no comment.
