The media guide is now up...you guys want to pay attention to the dude on the bottom of Page 3's coaching staff...thats right, its MEEE!!! (though now I'm "Technical Director"-so I can no longer challenge Manger for his title as LU's best).

A couple injuries on the women's side hindered our match yesterday against Longwood. Both teams lost to the Lancers.

Me too...whats worse, they wear shirts around with LU, that look almost exactly like our monogram. I think they may think that the way to get into the Big South is to look like one of the flagship schools-in this case Liberty. However, they don't seem to realize the Big South bias against us

The problem with the men is we graduated 4 starters from a team that went 2-12 last season and have 0 seniors this season. The women are doing quite well actually (and maybe better if we didn't have a couple injuries early in the season)and may finish higher in the conference than predicted after upsetting Birmingham-Southern two weeks ago. And yes, there are good recruits coming in. And yes, Winthrop's men and women are currently undefeated in the conference.

We're playing Averett right now and are up 4-1 (meaning we've already won the match, we just need the other two matches to finish). This is the guys fourth win of the year (doubling last year's win total despite losing 4 starters), and also means we have swept our non-DI opponents unlike last year.

I have been cleared to post the following information. Next year's class for women's tennis:

1. Haana (don't ask me to spell her last name)-Top 10 in New Zeland, Top 400 ITF. Has several impressive wins over 100/200 ITF players.

2. Jordan Jenkins-Top 30 in USA, from Florida. Also recruited by Ohio State, Florida State and current #6 Georgia Tech. Has some gold and bronze balls from top junior tournaments in the United States (meaning she won/placed third).

3. Ms. Picanco (men's player Fabricio Picanco's "little" sister)-tall girl from Brazil, will help strengthen the bottom of our lineup tremendously.

One more girl could possibly be on the way. Oh yeah, I'm not posting pics b/c people like Medic will stalk them and SJ may ask them on a date (and get turned down) :P

Alright guys, be in prayer for the Big South tourney here at Radford. If it rains tomorrow, the matches will be moved to the indoor courts at VaTech, and no one really wants to play there.

The article left out that she was also the regular season flight champion at No. 1 singles. Sebastian Pena was named to the all-academic team.
