dallas...still hasn't changed. We always had some disagreements about mostly history and politics. Quite intelligent

Hold my own...No, that was not dallas. I know who you are speaking of and I will just say that I met him at some crap in DC one semester and he is.....interesting to say the least

A team hasn't scored a -5 against us since we played the LU faculty (of 4 Ph.Ds) a few years ago.
Final score of that one: 400 to -5. Fumble was having the time of his life on our team that year.

If a team buzzes in early and MISSES the question, it's a score of negative 5. High Point tried to answer one question, missed it, and then never buzzed in again.

They were absolutely shell shocked.

Wow...one question and they never buzzed in again...that is nuts...at least the others made an effort to answer more questions...

Maybe for the first time ever, the faculty team SWEPT our Quiz Bowl team, 3-0. Having a chemistry prof who knew how to do math calculations made the difference for the faculty team.

Game 1
Faculty 265
Varsity A 230

Game 2
Faculty 220
Varsity B 120

Game 3
Faculty 205
JV 195

(Fumble, we could have really used you on the students' team).

If anyone wants to see the LU Quiz Bowl in action, the Jeffrey Owen Taylor Memorial Alumni Scrimmage is scheduled forThursday at 5:00 in DeMoss 4024. Dallas Shipp's team of former captains will be playing the varsity and freshman squads that have already defeated Duke (twice) and VA Tech this year--and are playing Princeton and Penn on Saturday.

Even without our best player who had to work, LU's Quiz Bowl team still managed to earn 3 major wins at the George Mason tournament on Saturday:

LU 180, University of Maryland 140
LU 95, University of Pittsburgh 50
LU 115, George Washington University 80

For the season, that's our 4th win against an ACC school and our first-ever wins against Big East and Atlantic 10 schools.

ROAD TRIP! It's only a 4 hour drive from the Burg. I say we go early to tailgate and to cheer on LU Quiz Bowl! (Can we bring thunder sticks?)
