What seems to be LU's best kept secret is no more. Many of you may not know but Campus East has a gymnasium along with offices attached. Campus East is growing at such a rapid rate it just doesnt seem big enough to suit all of the students. This is where Volleyball comes into to the picture. The Gym has a "sports court" often seen at the larger programs and such. Offices will be occupied by the volleyball staff and also will have a team room and other things.

It's very very nice guys, in fact gives them the only "volleyball" facility in the Big South...it reminds me of a modernized Duke practice facility with the historic windows and such. I'm going to see if I can get some photos up to share.

The AUX Dept here at Liberty really stepped up to the plate with this one, and I'm sure Pinder's grateful

FYI the gym will be used for some practices not games...

Glad to see that building is getting some use instead of just sitting there empty. Though I'd still prefer East Campus had its own weightroom, but since thats not gonna happen I'm glad volleyball got it.

OK...the logical question from me. What about a training room? The ATC for VBL also works WBB out of the Vines...so will the girls dress over on east...go to Vines for treatments...then go back over to east for practices?

I dont believe they plan on always practicing there...simply because it's better to get reps on the court you'll be playing your games at...but I'm not sure about treatments...I guess its just a walk through the tunnel away (4 minutes and 36 seconds)
Defensive Woes

Do we really have co-defensive coordinators?
