While Longwood jumped on the board first by taking the doubles point, the Flames finished strongly in singles play, Tuesday, taking five of the six matches en route to a 5-2 victory in Farmville, Va.Full Story:
"This was a good match to win on the road," remarked Liberty Head Coach Chris Johnson. "We were much improved in singles today."
Liberty is now 14-6 for 2012, which is the second-highest win total in the program's history. However, it is the most wins the program has had in a single season while facing a Division I schedule. The 1990 team posted 16 wins against a schedule which included a range of competition. Longwood falls to 7-8 with the loss.
