I was at volleyball practice at the Vines Center this morning and one of the Freshmen Kirsten Sanders who is Allyson Sanders sister hurt her ankle pretty badly and had to be taken on a stretcher. Please pray for Kirsten for her healing as well as Allyson as it will be hard for her being that they are sisters.

that does stink. Ally has been dealing with injuries for most of her young career too and now Kirsten. Have not met her in person yet (facebook friends) but Kirsten seemed to be very much looking forward to playing this season with big sis. Side note. Dad Craig is a former hooper for LU during the old days of Greg McCauley, Eric Gordon and Co in the early 80's so they are second generation LU athletes.
i talked to allyson yesterday on facebook and she told me that kirstyn is not in as much pain but it still hurts. So i guess it is a little bit better.
my sources tell me minimum six weeks. this is VERY optomistic thinking though. her ankle was dislocated and tore several ligaments. good chance she will end red-shirting this year.
I know most of you probably know this, but dislocates and ligament/cartilage damage is worse than a break, in many- if not most- cases. Not to be pessamistic, but she's likely gonna need a while to rehab that one.

No, it's not Jessica. Jessica Nelson is the one who broke both bones in her leg playing basketball. She just got out of her boot this week for the first time since the injury happen.
Kirsten Sanders had her surgery yesterday. Continue to pray for her full recovery of her ankle. Atrain anything else to add?..... or anybody else with the Volleyball team?
