G-W beat Charleston Southern in a preseason tourney 3-2 earlier this year, so they may not be as weak as their schedule would make them look. They lost to some pretty good teams earlier this year, but they also lost to some that may not be as good as well. I wouldn't look at them as a push over. Winthrop had a better hitting percentage, more kills, more blocks, and more assists, but came up with a loss. We can't be complacent with them.
Gardner Webb beat Winthrop. This team is on a mini roll and looking to upset Liberty. We need to treat this game like we are playing Winthrop. This can be one of those "trap games" if the girls are complacent. Stay focussed and be fired up!
From what Vadim told me, Gardner-Webb is a team that plays solid volleyball. They don't necessarily have big-time hitters like Nicki and Chelaine, but they make relatively few mistakes and let error-prone teams give them the match. If we can cut down on service and attack errors, we should be able to beat them on Friday night.
Oh, and I'm done making predictions for a while...I seem to jinx the team.
Liberty wins 3-0. GO LADY FLAMES!!!!
After watching Gardner-Webb play, they are scrappy at times but I cannot believe that this was the same team that beat Winthrop.
No kidding...I mean, yes we made them look a lot worse then what they are....but if you were to see these girls out of their uni's you would think they were in High School....none of these girls looked like our middles or outsides

You're not kidding there...they are a really small team, except their Libero...I know their roster says that its #4 and she's 5'7", but last night it was #9 who is 5'11" and is the second tallest person on that team.
