REDLANDS - Catch a quick glimpse of Johnna Fouch on the volleyball court and she appears very mature.

At 5-foot-10 and with facial features that belie her 15 years, she looks very much like a junior or senior.

She also plays like one, dispensing perfect sets that teammates like freshman Krista Vansant, junior Tori Brummett and senior Gretchen Stankey pound over the net for Redlands East Valley points.
Johnna comes from a sporting family.

Rhonda was an all-around star at Kamehameha High School in Hawaii and later starred in volleyball and basketball at the University of Redlands. She also excelled in adult softball.

Rhonda's husband, John Fouch, played quarterback at the University of Arizona and University of Redlands. Johnna's brother, Ronnie, is a freshman quarterback on scholarship at the University of Washington. Although he is hoping to redshirt, it's possible that Ronnie could see his first action in one of the team's remaining three games.
Such diligence and love for the sport already has piqued the interest of some colleges. Johnna has received letters from Fresno State, Texas Christian University, Liberty University, Cal State Fullerton and Delaware. But she actually has her eyes set on Stanford or some other Pacific-10 school.
