I just found this comment (dated today) on winthropfans.com.
"Shannon has a stress fracture on her leg, but should not miss more than two weeks."
I don't know how many weeks she has been on the bench healing, but I would guess she will play this Saturday. She is an excellent player and she knows how important the game is.
Be ready for anything and everything Liberty! Listen to coach Pinder... he will put everything in focus. Enjoy this week... it will be one to remember!
WUfan just said that in the other thread....how do you feel Gymtalk...I almost wish she was healthy! B/c I honestly believe we can beat them with her and beat them GOOOD!

Even without Sitzman they are a formidable team. Ask the teams that lost to them last week. Even if she doesn't play against us, we will have to play our best to win. There is something about a long winning streak that creates momentum that carries teams thru setbacks like key injuries and off nights. It is just natural to expect to win anyway. Hopefully we are starting to sense some of that on our side of the net because of our streak.
Thanks for thinking of us during the fires. We were lucky that our home was not in danger. Everywhere I flew today I saw houses that burned to the ground. It looked like something from a war movie! Very sad situation here. I found out that I will be allowed to leave the county and be at LU this weekend and breath some clean air! I am looking forward to seeing some quality volleyball and hopefully winning "The Big One".
I talked with coach after tonight's match with Norfolk. He said he hopes Sitzman is back at full capacity for their match with us. I told him that would be great, but that if I were her coach, I would probably let her sit to make absolutely sure that she would be available for the tournament, since that is where the NCAA guaranteed invitation would come from. He didn't disagree.
It was great to see that every lady on the team was able to get into the game tonight. Becka did great at libero in game 3. Brittany got to set in both games 2 and 3 and made some really pretty sets. You read about Carmen already in the Flames write up -- she finished the match with an awesome jump serve ace. Kirstyn played very well in the middle and made a really nice block. They called it a block assist with Allison, but Al told me it was all Kirstyn. Dalton got to play tonight, and she made the most of it. The crowd went nuts when she came in. Talk about great support! MAP made a couple of great digs and did a fine job at the serve line.
It sure was fun watching everyone play and contribute tonight.
I have been told that Sitzman will play on Saturday, but I won't know officialy until it actualy happens ... which will probably be about 7:01 on Saturday. One thing that worries me a bit is that the team doesn't overlook High Point on Friday. The Panthers have won ten in a row. Their last lost was to to Liberty at HP back in September. It'll be a great weekend of volleyball.
Thanks Medic. The superhuey is a workhorse and taking care of business. It does need a wash. First two days of the fire were 50-60 knot winds. You know how that can be.
I agree with with SPC, one game at a time. Hopefully the team is focussed on HP first. I know Coach Pinder will will take care of that.
Thats good news...it'll gives us a better idea of where we are...glad to hear it!
