One of Nicki's high school teammates will be visiting LU this weekend. Her name is Samantha Melton. She really fits coach's desire for quick athletic players. Only 5'7", but she can sky. She plays outside hitter, but she is great defensively and has a serve that can be brutal at times. Her high school coach said she is definitely D! material, especially at libero. She is also a tremendous softball player. She pitched a shutout at the club World Series either last summer or the one before that. I think she's looking at softball and volleyball possibilities at this time.
