U. of Evansville is known as the Purple Aces and also is one of the weaker Missouri Valley teams. They return a lot of experience and b/c of that they will give the Lady Flames a challenge but I predict LU winning 3-2.
This team looks like our toughest opponent for the upcoming tournament. The Purple Aces finished 12-18 for the 2006 season and finished 6th in the Missouri Valley Conference. They are a good team with 5 starters returning. This match could go all 5 with Liberty coming out on top.
I don't know who ATrain is, but I like reading his posts.
ATrain - Nice research on the teams coming out to Liberty! After reading your three posts, I went to their volleyball websites and did my own scouting.
Chopertony - It's good to see you on post on flamefans.com. We had a lot of fun on prepvolleyball.com, but I'm going to switch to this site for a while.

Anyway, a little bit about me: I covered volleyball for the Liberty Champion newspaper the past 2 seasons-which is how I became the mod for the vball board...if you are who I think you are (Kallie's dad), I've met you before.
Currently I'm a grad student at LU, and the manager of the tennis teams. Hope to see you down here sometime.
ATrain - You did a wonderful job last year covering the volleyball team! I hate to hear you will not be back. Don't give up this modorating job... you keep it positive and bring good insights!

I saw the picture, but it would be nice to see it saved as a PDF file on the "rooster" page of the volleyball website. As is, you can't enlarge the photo without it getting blurry.
Chopertony - As I recall, you got a copy of last years team photo. If you get this years photo, please pass it on to me.

Medic, I know your just giving me some gas on the spelling of my user name. Years back when I first put together my user name (which I use for many various sites ) another pilot already had "Chopper". So I had to settle for the single P and I have used it for years. I can't change now!
Gymtalk, I should have the digital image of the team picture soon, Coach has been real nice to send it to me each season. I will let you know.

By the way, I like the "old school" team picture, but there is something to be said for taking a creative approach to the team picture. Example: UC Irvine and Pepperdine normally take their team picture on a SOCAL beach... a smart choice for recruiting high school players.
Liberty might want to have a team picture that reflects the joy (love, care, friendships) of the team, or size (view of the campus from the new LU on the mountain). I know for a fact that recruites look at those team pictures.
