We lose today, 10-2 in 5 innings . Probably worst game for LU in many years, considering the opponent. No pitching, no hitting, defensive miscues. Got to regroup quickly for Duke in mid week.

Liberty 2 FIU 1, Final. Hailey Deter hit a pinch hit HR in top of 6th inning. We only had 3 hits. a double, a bunt single and a HR. Yoder allowed 4 hits with 7 Ks. She struck out final batter on a 3-2 pitch in bottom of 7th with 2 on.

Playing JMU will NEVER elevate us to the next level. I'd rather we play the worse Power 5, Power 4 or Power whatever, school in America

I've missed 4 home games in 17 years. Looks like I may miss 3 more. I absolutely despise JMU football. I'd like a rivalry with New Mexico State more than JMU.

I just saw on Facebook, that Liberty and JMU have agreed for a 6 games series, starting in 2025.

Need to completely change our recruiting. Need taller, more athletic players. I'd love for Jax State's starting 5 to be at Liberty.

Conference play starts this weekend, at FIU. (another trip to Florida) FIU is 11-12 on the season. They have played 16 of 23 games at home, and the other 7 in Florida. FIU's RPI is 135.
We need nothing less than a sweep.

First RPI rankings came out today. Liberty sits at 56.

Former LU pitcher now at Oklahoma was the losing pitcher today vs Louisiana.
Liberty's 2 freshmen pitchers (Love and Yoder) held Louisiana to 1 run. Love went 5 innings. Yoder came in with bases loaded in 6th, with no outs, and got a double play and strikeout to end the threat.

I think she's just "throwing ", not "pitching ". There is a difference. Needs to throw change up more. (for strikes)

Liberty 10 Tulsa 6 Final. Roupe 2 HR, Kersten HR. Madrey 2 hits. Love good relief job. 1.1 innings, 1 hit, 0 walks, 0 runs. Good poise for a freshman.

2 hours to first pitch vs Tulsa.

Why would WKY join MAC ? That would be a demotion.

Liberty heads west this weekend, on a good RPI building trip. We play Tulsa, Oklahoma (2) and Louisiana (2), starting Friday.

We need to "recruit more offense". Defense can be taught.

Bachman has improved, since team left Florida, but still has control problems. She pitched 6.1 innings against Penn Saturday, allowed 3 hits and 6 walks (3 in 7th inning). Needs to throw more off speed stuff for strikes.

We need NCAA tournament appearances, and some NCAA tournament wins. Basketball has yet to reach the next level, compared to football, softball and baseball.

We finally put it all together against Morgan State. Winning 10-1. Roupe had 2 homers, Fortner and Roberts also went deep. Yoder pitched 4 innings, 2 hits and 10 strikeouts. 1 unearned run. Love pitched perfect 5th inning, with 1 strikeout. Great job by the freshman pitchers.

Where are the softball fans ?

If our bats ever wake up, we'll be tough. Too many bad at bats, weak swings, swinging at bad pitches.

Wilson and Deter had our only 2 hits. Not pretty, but a win

Kaylan Yoder pitched 5 innings, allowed 2 hits and struck out 7. Roberts and Kersten hit home runs.
